Homelessness Prayer Breakfast
Lead by elder Dan DeBrucker-Cota
Not your typical prayer breakfast, but we invite you to join your sisters and brothers in Christ, virtually, for the Presbyterian Network to End Homelessness Prayer Breakfast.
Three simple steps and one extra:
1) Register HERE for the link to the event. This will be a communal event, and the web event will be LIVE and so will your camera (if you so choose). Please, feel free to attend in your pajama's, or other appropriate attire! (No need for a shirt AND tie, but a shirt would be great!)
2) Grab some day-old bread, pastries, fruit - whatever make you feel comfortable! Coffee and juices are also welcome. Set your space, and have a "homeless breakfast". Oh, bring a candle or a small light as we bring the light of God into each of our spaces (no candle? there is an app)
3) Pray! We will pray for our sisters and brothers who are homeless, and houseless. We will pray for our elected officials, shelter staff, outreach workers, hospital employees, mental health personnel, advocates, allies, and all who have compassion and love. The format is casual, and we encourage you to participate as you feel moved to do so.
4) If you happen to be near a shelter, or on the streets, and feel comfortable, please join us from that location. Invite others if you are so moved.
Monday, June 18th.
